About

Hannah Mummert is an MA-to-PhD student at the University of Southern Mississippi where she is concentrates predominantly on Children’s Literature and Young Adult Literature. She’s been a lover of all things fairy tale since she was introduced to Disney at a young age (though contrary to popular belief, she wasn’t interested in princesses until much later). Since then, she’s expanded that love to include other folk tales and myths across many, many cultures.

Hannah is also an aspiring novelist with dreams of writing fairy tale retellings, specifically retellings of tales some have never even heard of. She started this blog to review already existing and newly published retellings, as well as open up discussions about fairy tales with other enthusiasts. She hopes this website will serve a sort of one-stop-shop for those who want a bit of everything, from fun discussion to scholarly resources.

Take the time to look around and don’t be afraid to use the search function to see if there’s any content about things you might be interested in. If nothing turns up, send us an email! We love hearing and learning about new things!
